About
Jo, hello
!
My name is Jules and i like everything about anything that does something.
Formally speaking, i studied mathematics and mechanical engineering somewhere in Germany. I recall one of my earliest memories to break my toys and try to reassemble them with extra unique features. This has basically shaped my interests and path through life.
Besides mathematics and mechanical engineering, I find problems arising from electrical engineering, computer science and physics very interesting. At 8 years old, i taught myself to solder and could finally fix diverse broken electronics in our little house. Most of my the solder went however into my consoles and game controllers, hehe
. To the world of software development and computers, i was introduced at 11. A great hobby of mine thereafter was the developement of mobile app websites and webtemplates during the peak of the Symbian era and the rise of smartphones.
During my studies, i worked as a software developer at a small firm in my city. There, i worked on every problem that landed on my desk, including data science, frontend/backend development, data engineering and embedded system development. I also worked periodically at my university in research and latter on as an machine learning engineer.
As an avid learner, i landed work in the embedded-systems branch for automotive-devices. This has mark the start of my career. It has given me the opportunity to bridge software and hardware development, to create automated devices.
When i don’t work, i dance! Most of my evenings are spent at my dance-studio, jamming and grooving to Lindy Hop, Balboa, Solo Jazz, Charleston and Blues. The following contain a sample of what i dance to looks like:
I also enjoy hiking and reading.
This website was created as pathway to share and saveguard documentation of my projects. The archives are great way to explore what i worked on.
